According to Toyota's web site, you can tow a 2002 through 2005 Rav4 with a
manual transmission dinghy style - with all 4 wheels on the ground without a
problem.

You can confirm for yourself by going to www.toyota.com, click on the
"owners" link at the bottom of the main page, then click on the "frequently
asked questions" link, then click on the "frequently asked questions" link
on the next page, then in the "search text" box, enter the word "tow", and
click the "search" button. On the list of answers, click on the dinghy
towing link and look up your choices.

Happy camping!

We would like to buy a car to tow behind a motor home and were thinking
of a Rav4 4X4---5 speed manual transmission. Everything I read says
something different and the service people don't seem to know for sure.
Does anyone know if it can be towed as is with no restrictions? TIA

Well, you could "technically" tow a RAV4 MTM, but there is precautions.
Most folks town a Saturn or a Honda, they have unique ATM's that seem to
be ammuned to failure from towing. They use a complete different
priciple for thier ATM's

You really should consider getting a spelling and grammar checker for
your newsreader. Your posts make you look dumber than you already
are.
