I think the Spacecruiser was the first generation Toyota van sold in the
U.S. It was originally going to be called the VanWagon but that name was
dropped because people might confuse it with the VW Vanagon on sale here at
that time. The name just became "Van" or "Cargo Van".
We used to call the Cargo Van version (without side windows) a 2-slice
toaster because of its remarkable resemblance to the kitchen appliance.

Oops. Heard the word "cruiser" and thought... :-P
The key to figuring out what model you have (getting past the
worldwide name changes) is the model number - in a standard 17-digit
VIN, it's the 4th through 7th characters. For US Spec LandCriusers
the models were FJ25, FJ40, FJ45, FJ55, FJ60, FJ62, FJ80...
First character is the motor variant, the next three are the basic
chassis model variants. The F motor is the 4.0 to 4.2L Straight Six,
the BJ80 is the diesel that Canada could get but we couldn't.

Hi, Can anyone help me, I am currently restoring an early space cruiser and
would really appreciate it if anyone has an owners manual or workshop manual
they are willing to give or sell me.
