Because he's too old, he did his bit in 'Nam. And I don't know if I would
be calling Scott stupid, since you have just managed to regurgitate all the
same party BS that the left has been yelling since at least 1970.

I am a Bushite and I did my duty in Iraq (back in 1991) -- oh and I got my
graduate education at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.

I think Bush is a great president. He sure fooled a lot of liberals that
were so sure he would never be re-elected.

Look at Germany - a liberal country. 13% unemployment, country is bankrupt.
This is where Kerry would have lead us.

Now who is the dumb fuck?

Not really Nam...

I joined the Navy on the 12th of June 1961 and was discharged on 11
June 1965. My job rating at the time was a 'critical' one that would
have required me to stay in if I had been in for one more month. Viet
Nam was just heating up when I completed my enlistment.

My ship (USS Enterprise CVA (N) 65) was in the yards at Newport News
Virginia getting her 8 nuclear reactors refueled for the first time
when I got out.

My 'wartime' service was Viet Nam era...but I didn't go to Viet Nam.

My ship did, however, make a NUMBER of cruises to Viet Nam after
getting out of the yards.

f.. "I always jest to people, the Oval Office is the kind of place for
people standing outside--they're getting ready to come in and tell me what

'Man, you're looking pretty.'"

-Bush, in the same interview, discussing the economy

j.. "I don't speak ill of anybody in the process here. I think if you went
back and looked at my comments, you will see I don't attack."

-Bush, trying to clarify a statement
Source: FDCH Political Transcripts, "George W. Bush Holds Media
Availability with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi," Sept. 14, 2002

ae.. "We've got pockets of persistent poverty in our society, which I
refuse to declare defeat-I mean, I refuse to allow them to continue on. And
so one of the things that we're trying to do is to encourage a faith-based
initiative to spread its wings all across America, to be able to capture
this great compassionate spirit."

Small Businesses Location," March 18, 2002
A Final Note

a.. The second edition of the Oxford Dictionary of Phrase, Saying and
Quotation recently recognized Bush's er ... contributions to the English
language. Under the heading "Bushisms," the dictionary includes such Bush
classics as, "We are ready for any unforseen event which may or may not
happen."
