The secret is that the vertical post between the roll up window and the
vent glass has a screw holding it in that is hidden below the rubber
gasket seal. Peel it back and remove the screw, then roll the glass all
the way down. This will let you move the bar around enough that you can
put a new vent in.
Well, I don't know that for a fact, since you're talking about a front
window. My 95 Corolla had the rear window broken out and I had a devil of
a time figuring out how to put the new one in until someone showed me how
to remove the vertical track/post betweeen it and the samll triangular
glass. I would imagine the vent glass might work in a similar fashion.
