Nearly six in 10 Americans say the United States should withdraw some
or all of its troops from Iraq, a new Gallup Poll finds, the most
downbeat view of the war since it began in 2003. [USA Today, 6/13/05]
See? I said back in 2003 at a fundraising meeting, where we were set
to send an ask letter, "shouldn't we mention the war?" to which the
reply was (from Dem fundraisers, no less) "But what if we win there in
3 days?"
I had to laugh at that. Needless to say, that's when the long-milked
flip flopping began.
Howard Dean was right on target then, and he's still on target today.
I had him wrong -- I figured he was a Face Guy for all of the whiney
college kids and Urban soccer-mom liberals... that's what most of the
electorate thought too... but I can admit a mistake.
GO DEAN. Can anyone say, "I told you so"?
Profit from Bush's loss of respect, I say. If Dickus Cheney can kick
below the belt, then we should aim our steeltoed boots right at his
nads (listening, AFL-CIO? SEIU?). Any Dems who disagree are just
inside-the-beltway status quo politicians, and those folks better get a
clue really quick and support their party -- Rove is waiting for them
to flip-flop and belly-flop like a rabid pit bull at a cat show.
The President does not care about polls, he will continue to do
what is right for our county, regardless of polls. Nobody care
what you think LOL

You're right, he doesn't give one shit about public opinion.

Why should he? Ever met an Imperialist Monarch who cared about public
opinion?
The difference btw Bush and Dean is not their willingness to "do what
they say, say what they do"... they share that quality.
The difference is that Howard Dean got HIMSELF to where he is today.
Bush was pushed to the top in a baby stroller, sucking on Carl Rove's
teat.

And the Hartford Courant's Sunday addition reported the following
"accomplishments" by the man removed by our Commander-in-Chief:
Executed as many as 1 million Iraqis during his 24 years in power.
17,000 Iraqis were "disappeared" during the same period.
Had 40 of his own relatives murdered.
Human Rights Watch estimates that Hussein's 1987-1988 campaign of
terror against the Kurds killed at least 50,000 and as many as 100,000
in attacks that used chemical and nerve agents on 40 Kurdish villages.
The largest attack was on Halabjah, which resulted in approximately
5,000 deaths.
2,000 Kurdish villages were destroyed.
In 1998 alone, 4,000 prisoners were executed at Abu Ghraib. I wonder
why the media isn't reporting this one. Too busy worrying about
dog collars, I presume.
3,000 prisoners were executed at the Mahjar prison from 1993-1998.
2,500 prisoners executed between 1997-1999 in a "prison cleansing
campaign."
At least 130 Iraqi women were beheaded between June 2000 and April
2001. I wonder why LLL congressional members are silent about
Iraqi women's rights.
Saddam committed sixteen violations of the Hague and Geneva
conventions during his 1990 invasion of Kuwait, according to a
Pentagon report, including torture by amputation, electric shock,
rape, forced self-cannibalism and dismemberment.
I wonder why Amnesty International didn't care about this stuff.

And the residents of Gitmo are NOT POW's. Maybe now the media will
start their investigation and reporting of FACTS regarding Saddam.

psychotic, thoughtless propaganda:

More people than that die every year in Africa due to war and
starvation -- old George W. "Bring-em-on" Bush won't even up the aid to
Africa.
Also, estimates top 150,000 dead Iraqis since we stormed into Iraq to
gain Liebensraum for our oil homies.

Sounds about the same as the number dissappeared in the past two years
under Bush/Rumsfeld.

Two-bit thug dictator. He should just be arrested.

Like old "Pussy Falwell" Dreher believes anything Human Rights Watch
has to say. If so he'd be advocating the dismantlement of Guantanamo
Bay.

As many Iraqis have died at our hands -- either directly from our
weapons, or as a result of the increased lawlessness that Paul Bremer
(Medal of Freedom recipient) presided over.

We're pushing 2,000 dead Americans right now. The blood is on Bush's
hands this time.

It has been reported. Else you wouldn't know about it, Cochise.

Here, in this country, we let the prisoners execute one another.

This should be right in line with the Conservative 'law-n-order'
agenda. All those tax dollars pouring into the Prison Industrial
complex...

What? LLL congressional members silent? Not exactly. It is well
known that as of this very moment, women still cannot walk the streets
alone in Iraq. Under Hussein, at least it was a crap shoot for women.

Ahhh... a propaganda report. You expect me to believe them? Where are
the WMDs bubba? You cool with Bush lying about the WMDs? If so, hey I
got a deal for you... I have a bridge for sale in Fallujah... I'll give
it to you for cheap.

What makes you think they didn't care? Have you documentation to this
effect, or are you just being a Dittohead? Silly Pussy.

The media investigate and report FACTs?
I often wonder why the contrived GWB story that Dan Rather concocted
to try to get Kerry elected has not been checked out by news
organizations or the FBI...

No, that little lie just completely wrecked his long esteemed career.
I have to say, not vetting sources properly is remarkably similar to
sending your State Department head to the UN to read verbose lies about
weapons of mass destruction.
Why do you conservatives keep calling for the Storm Troopers?
