You should post part of the article along /with/ the link.

I hope the familys SUE their asses off. You neos don't like when a company
pays for it's mistakes, I know.

" In another statement to CNN, Kinley said "we have been asked why we have
not expanded the recall. The last thing we want to do is make an important
safety decision on incorrect or incomplete information."

Translation: We are broke due to producing a shitty product to begin with.
Recalling this faulty part on a wide scale would result in a huge loss of
jobs and company closings. Obviously we would rather take the chance of
risking others lives than fixing such problems as blazing switches and
Rollovers.

Another liberal bullshit lie. Us republicans actually very much like a
company paying for its mistakes. More than that, we like to see companies
that fuck up, like Ford and GM, to be gone forever. A mistake like that
makes companies stock volatile. When stock is volatile, it can't be tracked
using regular metrics. This makes us Republicans (people that work for money
and invest it rather than expect handouts from the government) not like it.
There are many companies that have steady growth and dont hide a single
thing.

An excellent post, Dan, with perfect response, logic, and context.

And completely true.

Perhaps you do, and perhaps that is one of the Noble stances of the
Republican Party platform.

Oh yeah have you heard about Halliburton, KelloggBrown and Root, or
Enron lately? Eh... maybe you should print your post and mail it to
the White House. Seems they don't agree with you.

Oh brother. Lets see... time for another R.A.A. proof, this early in
the morning?

Postulation: All Democrats expect handouts, and don't invest their
money.
Reduction: I work for a living. I invest my money. I'm a Democrat.

Dan, Eric's endorsement may make you want to re-evaluate your position.

Richard

I have, and guess what, lots of people lost money. More republicans lost on
those deals (although on relative basis, and those who need it, lots of blue
collar workers lost pensions/401ks which is the worst kind of evil a company
can do). I work on wall street and I am happy to see companies that you
mentioned before exposed for the crap they do. I believe markets take care
of themselves.

make the post on-topic :-) ).

Classic argument here... I agree, the markets do take care of
themselves. But for all of the grandmothers, grandfathers, tradesmen
who got spanked... as a society we have to throw a safety net before
they hit the ground don't you think?

The thing that disgusts me about Bush/Cheney (actually there are many)
is the huge amounts of money that Enron donated to their political
coffers, and the fact that we aren't even allowed to see what, if any,
personal benefit they recieved from this criminal debacle.

I think Enron employees may have donated about $10,000 to Democratic
campaigns. Add three zeros and you have their donations to Republican
campaigns.

I'm sick of money buying political influence.

I said Neos, not Republicans. And all evidence of this NG says im right.

Why on earth would you want two major American companies that provide many
jobs and have such a history to be 'gone forever'? How about we hope they
improve of their products and give us something to be proud of instead?

Liberals are absolutely no different, so don't try making it sound that way.

man... ever heard of "diminishing return"? The Jap manufacturers have
come over here and managed in a short time to outsell, outemploy (maybe
not in numbers, but in rate of employment increase), and outprofit
those Detroit slugs. Even the union agrees. The die-hards are kicking
cans during the day in places like Battle Creek while they head to the
polls to vote for Bush; they're lost causes anyway.

Kind of like my wife's marigolds. I picked all of the dead blooms off
the other day, and now there's a bunch of young healthy blooms already.

I don't think necessarily they should just go outta business... but
they need to undergo a complete transformation.

I think Dan agrees, if I may be so presumptuous.
