95 camry shuts off

Whats up fellow car junkies ! need help -after idling my 95 camry 4cyl
shuts off, gives me a tough time restarting and keeps shutting off. replaced
fuel filter..... but smell fuel when trying to restart, which would lead me
to believe the pump is fine. car has 240k miles on it. My buddy told me it
might be the map sensor...

if not gas, then bad ignition. When was last time u changed plugs,
rotor, wires?

check the ignition coil

run the resistance tests in the haynes manual with the coil warm,
or warm it up with a hair dryer and tap it gently while testing

sounds like the egr valve is sticking. this is a common problem on these
camrys. But egr problems usually occur after long steady cruising. It
could also be the idle speed control. But before guessing at any of these
try cleaning the throttle body. good luck!
