You're almost as bad as Mike Hunt, posting links with absolutely no
context. Why bother clicking them?

<quote>
Seven Republican members of Congress said yesterday House Minority
Leader Nancy Pelosi was "demoralizing" U.S. troops by saying twice
Tuesday that the war in Afghanistan is over during a press conference
she held to call for an investigation of detainee abuses.
</quote>

Is the war in Afghanistan over?

<quote>
"Would you prefer that they gave up the fight, stopped hunting for
Osama bin Laden and allowed the terrorists to run free?" the
Republicans, all members of the House Armed Services Committee, wrote
in a letter to the California Democrat.
</quote>

HAHA!!!! Hey Repubs! Bush said he "doesn't think much about him"
already!!

HE DOESN'T CARE.

haha

<quote>
A Rasmussen Reports survey conducted this week found that 36 percent of
Americans say the detainees are being treated better than they deserve,
and another 34 percent say they are being treated about right. Just one
in five say the detainees are being treated unfairly, with 10 percent
saying they do not know.
</quote>

Hilarious!!!

How bout some "disclosure"? Oh, that would require a Senate
investigation... don't want that, right Sheep?

I GOT IT. Bush doesn't look at the Polls. That would be the
Rovenheimer. He's in his laboratory right now crafting the next
"vote-getter" for his "durable majority".

<quote>
A spokeswoman for Mrs. Pelosi said the president himself has indicated
that the war to remove Afghanistan's ruling Taliban regime was over.

"The war to remove the Taliban government from power was over in 2001
and the president has said the mission was a success," said Jennifer
Crider, Mrs. Pelosi's press secretary.

<quote>
She said President Bush's failure to prosecute the war there, and his
effort to go to war in Iraq, have complicated the conflict in
Afghanistan.
</quote>

How dare she doubt the Commander In Chief?

<quote>
The Republicans who signed yesterday's letter said Mrs. Pelosi is wrong
about the war being over.
</quote>

haha...

<quote>
They pointed to a battle that left 40 insurgents and a police officer
dead in southern Afghanistan this week, as well as eight U.S. troops
wounded in Afghanistan last week.
</quote>

yeesh. I'm sick of this war. Hope the reps put something in there to
explain to Donald Rumsfeld that the war isn't over as well... I don't
think he knows.

<quote>The letter was signed by Reps. John Kline of Minnesota, Joe
Wilson of South Carolina, Kay Granger of Texas, Geoff Davis of
Kentucky, Candice S. Miller of Michigan, H. James Saxton of New Jersey
and Bill Shuster of Pennsylvania.</quote>

Well, someone better tell Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld. They thought the
"Mission" was "Accomplished" two years ago!

Yeah? I'm still waiting for one of those pussy-ass Congressional
Republicans to take her on in the press.

Amazing how these idiots still insist that sign meant the entire
process, rather than the fall of Baghdad.

They are SO easily led by the nose.

Actually it was referring to the aircraft carrier having
completed ITS mission in the mid east. Anyone who served in the
US Navy understand what that means. Is it any wonder those in
the NG that never served their county do not understand the
difference? The ships Captain told reporters that was what the
banner represented. Naturally the anti Iraq war crowd prefers
its own definition since it is their goal to separate the war in
Iraq from the war on Islamic terrorist for political gain.

Either way, it still shows how easily led LLL's are by the
ignorance-fed media talkingheads.

OK yeah sure. I grew up in Va Beach and Norfolk bubba. I worked on
the Naval Air Rework Facility. I have friends in the Navy and Marines.

I serve my country -- wanna see those five-digit tax bills I pay?

You and I both know damn good and well that the sign was left in full
sight to stir the hearts of the Current-Events-Illiterate Kansans who
are moronic enough to vote for a president who wants to crush them
under baseball stadiums.

Re: OT Who is Nany Pelosi, is she that ruraway brides mother?

You forgot to say in my opinion, again.

I remember you good folks in Norfolk all too well and the signs
that said no dogs or sailors allowed. Big deal I wish I could
pay a quarterly tax bill that was ONLY five digits. Friends in
the military indeed. For a guy that professes to be so concerned
about what happens in our country, why haven't you volunteered to
serve your county as have so many others in this NG? Seems you
believe you can serve you county by posting lies and half truths
about our great President on every OT subject that you post.
Surly you don't believe you are influencing anybody in the NG do
you? The truth is we are just laughing at you. I print out
some of the goofy convoluted stuff you have to say and we post it
on the bulletin boards in our shops to give more people the
chance to laugh at you. LOL
