My mistake then. I had read that they both earned "C" averages.

Remember when Bush's supporters insisted that his
Yale grades were NOT a fairt indication of his learning
and intelligence? Hehe. Yet another flip-flop.

A real couple of mover and shakers. Unlike Clinton who was a Rhodes Scholar.
I'd like to know how someone gets into an Ivy league college with a SAT of
1200? Wait we already know that answer. To be fair, how a person
does in college doesn't always translate to how well they do as a leader.
Reagan wasn't considered an intellectual by any means, but he had leadership
qualities and a real gift for communicating, while Carter was extremely
intelligent and educated, but not the greatest of leaders (IMO).
Of course Bush has yet to show any of those qualities to offset his mediocre
IQ.

That's a deeply guarded secret, as all documents have been destroyed and
any one who had that knowledge has either disappeared, given a job with the
administration or had a nasty tell all book written about them.

You ever hear Bush speak or answer a question? Give a listen sometime, then
ask yourself the question again.

I usually hit "Ignore Thread" and bail out of these OT-fests long
before this point, but...
George W Bush is NOT stupid. He's a horrible public speaker, and he
has a hard time expressing himself eloquently using a pre-written
speech in someone else's words, especially if it's a carefully crafted
pile of $50 legalese and diplomat-speak words.
If there was such a thing as a blend of 'Clockwork Orange' shock
therapy and Toastmasters (where you have a really good incentive for
your public speaking to get better, fast) I'd sign GWB up for it. ;-)
But he has a good grasp of what's going on, and if given half a
chance can express it plainly and clearly.
"Slick Willy" Clinton was a great public speaker, so smooth he could
talk the mukluks off an Eskimo, and see where that got us? Parsing an
earlier statement to try to get around it by dissecting "what the
meaning of the word 'is' is."
And Nixon before him was also a great public speaker, at least at
first. He managed to talk himself back from the brink of disaster
several times, like the "Checkers Speech". And he eventually ended up
going off the morals and virtues deep end, too. (Though his problem
was paranoia, not lust.)
Judging from that, I don't want to pick a leader based on public
speaking skills alone. We've gotten bad results on both sides.
