Yes, he was allowed to join the Ranger organization because of his
daddy. He didn't get the position because of his accomplishments, but
because of his daddy. Just like his brother Neal who was allowed on the
board of a savings and loan because of his daddy. They don't talk about
brother Neal since he is as dumb as a stump, just like his brothers.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can call him what you want, but he still made millions according to
Tom. Bush also ran for Governor of Texas and soundly beat the
incumbent. He then ran for President and beat Kerry who was said to be
smarter by a whole bunch than Bush, but we later find out that Bush
actually had better grades than Kerry on tougher subjects. Bush went on
to beat Kerry even more soundly for a second term.

But that was running a scam not a business. Bush doesn't have any
success when he has to be on the up-and-up and is unable to
use his connections for an unfair advantage.

I don't call building a ball park which the city wanted and was included
in the deal for additional commercial ventures with the ball park a
scam. To be clear though, I don't favor any public money anywhere to
build sports stadiums, but Bush was only doing what a lot of cities are
doing, I don't like it either, but it was legal. Don't blame Bush,
blame your local city and state fathers for greasing the skids.

There's nothing wrong with making money. I like to do it too. I'm
always looking for ways to make more money than what I have.
I don't know the details of the baseball stadium now, but I know there
was a lawsuit involved -- and Ann Richards? Who knows.
The whole point of the "baseball stadium" argument is this --
1. Conservatives bellyache that the Liberal Supreme Court decided in
favor of Government in the Eminent Domain case.
2. The Supreme Court pushed the matter down to the states, stating that
Federal laws don't apply to Eminent Domain.
3. The decision in #2 is very anti-Federalist. Pro states-rights,
almost to a Laissez Faire level.
WordNet (r) 2.0 [wn]
laissez faire
n : the doctrine that government should not interfere in
commercial affairs [syn: individualism]
4. The "but Bush profited" argument has not been documented well
enough to show that it is somehow sketchy or unethical, so
Conservatives, rather than finding out for themselves, assume it _was_
ethical, and divert attention to this "assumed fact".
5. The only people who truly would agree whole-heartedly with #2 are
Fascists. Very far Right. Vigilantes, who keep their own armies and
guns. Folks who go and start wars over oil.
After all, we've all asserted that we want the Court to protect us from
the Government -- that in itself is Government Meddling. Not exactly
laissez faire.
Yet, everyone is left scratching their heads, wondering why their local
government is so broken.
Maybe all politics is local (From the President down to the Village
Mayor), and you can't ignore downtown.
Heh -- makes you forget about those 1,800 dead young American men and
women in Iraq for a minute don't it?
But not the 15,000 that died on D-Day. or the 8,621 that died on
Iwo Jima so you can post the stupid stuff you post. Freedom is
never free. Good thing we know the neo fascists on the evil
left always lie.

Funny how they change their tune when Bush is involved. Sure it
was legal, just sleazy.

I'm not changing any tunes. I never used to and do not now like the
public supporting sports stadiums, especially in light of the high
priced players and globs of money seemingly floating around pro sports
these days. Hell I say if they want a new stadium let the teams put up
the money. That goes for car factories too and casinos and all the
other entertainment BS.
