Sort of OT: Oh, the* shame* of it!

Not to mention the pain...

I told Enterprise Rent-a-car I didn't want that damned too-low slung,
gas-guzzling Sunfire, since my Echo's painting has been delayed by the heavy
rains we've had recently. Since the other guy's insurance is paying, I don't
have to worry about whatever fees Enterprise charges, but my 6'2" hubby had
as much trouble with that damned Sunfire as I do - we're not 25 anymore LOL

So today they call to tell me they have another car for me. We get there,
and they gave me...

A Ford F*ck-us! Bad enough it's a Ford, but it has soft brakes and no CD
player!

Oh, the humanity!

But that's not the frosting on the shit cake: Hubby (Bob) and I will have
to take a drive up to Pope AFB to find a place to live, and to meet Bob's
staff up there. We figure since the Echo's still not repaired as promised
last week, we need to leave the kids behind and take care of the business up
there, then come back to get the kids and the Echo.

Well, so have we, but I find rain relaxing. The problem this time is that
it's slowing my move to NC (Can't paint the now-repaired Echo until the
weather dries a bit)
