I wonder if anyone here knows whether this stereo

would be plug compatible with a 2005 Corolla?

You can pretty much plug one Toyota radio from one car into another
without too much difficulty. Toyota changed the plugs back in '91 or '92,
so anything from there forward would probably be compatible.
