Note also that America bears this alone, bolstered only by its immense
productive powers. No other country has offered or given any aid of any
kind.

Could any other country on earth so quickly fix this sort of thing alone?

Well, the aid from the Venezuelan government wasn't

Perhaps in THAT story the looted goods were a matter of survival, but there
is no shortage of people looting TV sets. The local WalMart has been looted
of all of its firearms, and somebody is taking pot-shots at the military
helicopters that have come in to provide support.

I heard a report that a Winn Dixie store was being emptied. Six or eight cop
cars showed up to guard the Sports Authority in the same shopping center.
The SA store had a large Gun Department. The cops recognized the difference
in taking food to survive, and taking guns so people could take other
people's food.
