Fender Flares

Folks,

I never wanted flares on my truck but the amount of rocks getting
kicked up from the tires and hitting my body is hetting out of hand
(reads: paint is going)...

My tires stick out a little and my new rims will even more .. so I
thought to bite the bullet and get flares...

There are either riveted ones or glued ones ... I wonder which is
better? Also I was wondering .. If I put flares on isnt that like a
guarantee that it will rust to death under the flares? Would riveted or
glued be better for that?

I want to keep the truck for a long time and dont want to start any
rust nests ...

Matt

Re: Fender Flares

Not to highjack your topic, but why the hell are aftermarket fender flares
so Goddam expensive?

Re: Fender Flares

Glue them on... and when you say glue, i hope you mean 3m adhesive tape.
Definitely don't rivet/damage your sheet metal. If they're glued on & the
paint coat is not breached, there's no reason they would rust.

Re: Fender Flares

use clear or black silicone adhesive to seal them
