Biodiesel for LC?

What's the Toyota's official stand on biodiesel in post-2000 LandCruisers?
Any real-life experiences? Also, how about conversion to run on veggie oil -
can it be done?

Re: Biodiesel for LC?

IF you ever get an Official Response from Toyota, I bet Toyota prohibits the
introduction of ANY 'homebrewed" biodiesel and likely look down on ASTM 5762
spec biodiesel. Diesels with common rail injection don't fare well on a
strong diet of biodiesel. The older mechanical injection systems having an
inline pump (as opposed to the rotary VE design) will run quite happily on
clean biodiesel fuels without much complaint.

Try asking that question in aus.cars group. There's a couple of people there
which have done the biodeisel thing.

Ok, if this is the case what years LandCruisers can survive on
biodiesel/veggie oil diet?
