Really? We have a 10 Billion dollar insurance company we represent,

As was pointed out to you in another Toyota newsgroup, extended warranties
only benefit the seller. Actual profit margin on extended warranties is
80-90%, drastically higher than the 30-40% on any other type of warranty.

When bought at the dealer yes. That is why we are substantially less.

company, night and day.

If your money is green, they'll warranty a ham sandwich.

Of course, the trick is to read the fine print on the warranty they
are pushing first - most of them have loopholes big enough to drive a
Semi through, meaning the odds of them actually having to pay out on a
claim are very low.

The irrifutable point still is that an extended warranty is only a good
investment for the seller.
