2002 tundra belt problem

the belt on my tundra started squeaking a while ago, the belt looks fine and
the tensioner is in the right position, i tried using belt dressing and
doesnt squeak as much but a few times it wouldnt start in the cold, it would
screech and stall. . could the belt be stretched out? also the engine seems
to surge when idling, could this be related?

1) Just replace the accessory drive belt. They have a history of
squeaking without stretching. It's easy to do...Goodyear and Gates
make good replacements. The new belt will seem that it is too
short, too short for sure, certainly is too short...oh, fits just right.

2) Clean the throttle body. Engine off, remove the black plastic
cover from the intake, remove the air inlet to the engine, and with
aerosol throttle body cleaner and a soft, lint-free cloth, wipe
everywhere inside the throttle body. Get your finger behind the
spring-loaded throttle plate. Get all the dirt and bits of rag out
of there, and close things up. If the truck runs differently, give
the computer time to get used to the clean TB. If you have an
aftermarket air filter, throw it away and go back to a good
Toyota/Denso air filter element.
