The key is 4x4 --- your'e carrying 400-500 more # plus sitting higher with
probably knobbier more agressive tread tires. Try increasing tire pressure
by 4 # over what's recommended (for comfort). Remove extra weight ya don't
need. Shift at lower RPMs. That's about all ya can do. Adding a tonneau
cover to back might help. Toyotas are heavy and built to last a long time --
not for good gas mileage -- a trade off I guess.
