Can a 03 4 banger tow this:

A 450lb snowmobile in the back, and a single sled trailer with another 450lb
sled on a 1800km round trip drive? Am I looking for trouble?

2003 XtraCab 4x4, manual.

900 pounds plus a small trailer? I can't see any problem with that. Be ready
to switch the overdrive off when you get to a hill.

No problem. Your towing cap is 3,500#. Keep it out of 5th.

>From all that I've ever learned and heard, with a manual transmission if
your towing much of a load never use 5th gear (except downhill of
course) it puts a lot of side loading on the input and countergear
bearings. Under same conditions automatic transmissions should tow
without overdrive. And it should be no problem towing what you listed,
slow down and enjoy the drive.

Why no overdrive? I tow that much (with an automatic) and the truck does it
effortlessly. I usually hit the gas enough to drop out of overdrive BEFORE I
hit an incline, so I guess the end result is the same.
