98 Tacoma clock

Guys\Gals,

98 Tacoma, clock intermittently cuts out, well it is out most of the time
actually, you can "flick" it with your finger and it will come on sometimes
then it will eventually fade out.....question is, is it hard to get to it to
check for loose connection? Not that big a deal as the cd player has a clock
on it, but thought it was worth asking.
No complaints BTW on this truck, V-6, manual, extend cab.....bought it
new, nothing but maintainance, runs like new with 140K. This is my first
Toyota, and I'm thinking I will easily get another 140K out of her. Thanks
Mike

Re: 98 Tacoma clock

Mike,

I doubt you have a loose connection in the back but it is possible. Just
remove the lower fairing around the steering column and put your hand up
there. Sounds like the clock is going south.

Good luck
