96 RAV4 Ignition Coil Testing

I'm getting a 00.5 ohm reading on the primary coil. Ohmmeter is set on
200 ohm. The specs are Cold: 0.36 - 0.55 Ohm Hot: 0.45 - 0.65 Ohm. Do
i need to replace coil?

Not according to what you posted. That reading is within spec.

Re: 96 RAV4 Ignition Coil Testing

Are you getting 0.05 or 00.5 (which is properly expressed as 0.5, by the
way)? 0.05 is way below the spec you posted, 0.5 is right in there where
you want it.

If you have multiple coils, have you tried swapping them around to see if
the dead cylinder follows the coil?

Re read your first post. I think you made an error in the placement of the
decimal point, the error affects whether or not the coil is within spec.
