stalling 87 22r pickup

My 87 4x4 truck has recently started stalling, usually during long
inclines. If I back off the gas it will recover, but sometimes I have to
pull off the road let it idle for a while then start off again. When it
stalls there's a lot of jerking back and forth. Again, it idles fine,
matter a fact as long as it's not in a pull I can give it as much gas
without any problems, but when I put it in gear, there it goes again.
HELP? ANYONE?

replace the fuel pump,

Clogged fuel filter.

Is that black canister on the engine fire wall on passenger side leaking
fuel out the bottom??
