Tips and questions on my new 05 Tacoma--HELP

Hi guys, I love my new '05 Tacoma dblcab 4WD long bed pickup. Here are some
tips. I spent 8 bucks at the hardware store for a roll of 2" wide non-slip
black tread tape and trimmed out all four pieces for door sill protection.
Much cheaper than prefab accessories. Got fog light dash switches to fill in
the blanks from http://www.discounttoyotaparts.com/ at a discount price.
Used them for fog lights, radio and other switchable uses.

Questions: 1) My outside air temp (OAT) overhead indicator consistently
reads 3 deg F too high. Any way to calibrate the temp, dealer says no? 2)
Any one know of the whereabouts and cost of a good under-the-hood light
activated by a mercury switch, or do I have to fabricate that myself? 3)
Any way of modifying the overhead temp indicator and add an interior temp
sensor and a switch, to indicate IAT also?

Wish my 6-CD stereo was MP3. Wish Toyota supplied better quality tires
(higher tread wear rating) with the new truck.

Gary

Thanks for the "DPDT in the leads from the exterior sensor . buy the
replacement sensor" idea. Any one know where the exterior temp sensor is
located? Gary.
