Gen1 head bolt removal

okay ive pulled the rocker arm shaft, the cam caps and cam now im staring at 3 big hex head bolts what the hell size are they and how much torque is it gonna take to remove them? By now the engine is strpped fully and has been cleaned i think ill have the cleanest 79 cressida on earth. even the front suspension is shiny.

what size: check.
how much torque: get a breaker bar. they're gonna be tight after this long. make sure you use new bolts.

looks fantastic,very clean.scratch on cam, groove on bearing. heading to the machine shop over size here i come

used engines are like Christmas presents, you never know what you're gonna get. if there's that much damage in the head you might want to check the bottom end... or maybe you don't want to.

Gen1 alls good now

bottom end is great, head is bent and if the cost to fix exceeds 350 im getting another.but the cars too good to walk away from so cost isnt an issue now.just picked up some nice minilite knock offs for it and the interior is sharp now that its been cleaned. the brakes check out good, put new hoses on it. trans filter is next then, diff flush and fill then another month of installing the now clean pieces back on the motor so in the end ill have a running very clean cressida that wants to be a BRE datsun.not bad all in all
