Exhaust Gaskets

The gasket between my downpipe and cat is shot. Where can I get a gasket to replace it myself? Midas wants like $109. just to replace the gasket. Thanks.

Any parts store has them for about $5-10. Have you even asked them? 109 is an awful ripoff any way you look at it. gasket: $5, bolts: $2, 15 minutes labor (usually the shop minimum): $20

Those gaskets usually don't just up and die, make sure you've got all the hangers you should have and that everything's lined up right.

I didn't ask Midas as I just saw rip-off all over his face and left. I'll see if the dealer have them in stock then work my way to parts shops.

I have everything is intact and all lined up. Maybe the gaskets just really blew?? Figured he wouldn't just tell me gaskets if he was planning on ripping me off much more.

I'll let ya know the outcome.
