USA 4efte internals swap???

I have a friend getting rid of some Toyota Starlet parts and one of which is some 4efte cams. Can they really be swapped into the 5efe and do they really make a difference??

4efte cams no, 5efhe cams, yes, but for the 5efhe cams you'd also need the head, valvetrain and shims to make sure the valve clearances are ok

What he said. The 4efte and 5efe cams are exactly the same. You just use different marks on the cam to adjust it.

on that note, the reason to use 5efhe cams is that they have a slightly longer duration and slightly higher lift (0.5mm)

Very minimal in truth. Unless you have some sick mods or you take the entire head as described above..you wont really notice those gains. Still a worth wild investment, just make sure you have mods that will help maximize their use immediately.
