My Tercel has no torque. Like I'm flooring it off the light and everyone is beating me, but then I get some RPMs up and then there is some power. Like ACIS power kicking it, though I don't think it works.

I had the same problem for a while after I put my 5EFHE in. But I changed the timing on the 5efhe... which I wasn't soposed to do... sorta screwed up that one. Changed it back ran fine again. Also I know that right when I finished the swap it ran with MAJOR BALLS... that and the Idle was at like 1400 or something like that... really high up there though. I had alot of vacum leaks. But I beat an El Camino with a Corvette engine in it... so i guess it was a good thing.. But as far as your cars lagging, It happen to mine. All it was for me was that stupid ass timing... I dunno though, check your gear oil i guess... always helps to have some.
s'all good showcar... Were both kind of in the same boat here....
Mine is manual... i'll check and refill the gear oil tonight, could that really effect the power like that?
there are a couple of vaccum lines around the fuel rail im unsure are plugged in correctly...
I have one from my fuel pressure reg. to the intake mani.....
in the pic below (not my car, i just found this pic online) where the sensor plugs in at the bottom of the pic, there are a couple of vaccuum lines going to that, and one behind where the fuel rail is......
Im very unsure that i have these plugged in correctly......
Does anyone have pics of this set-up? or (god forbid) can explain it?
