Tranny fill bolt welded shut

GUYS IM FUCKED!

I just drained all the fluid out of my tranny, put the drain plug back in, and guess what? thats right, the filler plug is WELDED SHUT!!!

WTF?!?! has ANYONE ever hard of this before??

Do i have any hope, other than taking it to a shop and paying mucho deniro ?

Dude, did you rub against LBT or something? There's a few places you can refill but you'll have to know the capacity. The speedometer adapter should give enough room or you can take out the shifter lever. Where did you get all these bum parts?

Tell me about my luck with this swap eh ???

The tranny has always been on there, I can only assume that it was at one time leaking or something, so they decided welding it shut was a good idea....

anywho, i got the cocksmoker off.... ahh the wonders of thin hacksaw blades....
now it comes off and goes back on like butter......


btw, what would the capacity be? I put 2 litres in (thats as much as I had) its not up to filler hole yet.....Just wanna make sure i buy enough when i got back to the parts store.

I've never drained mine nor looked it up but I'd think if you had 2 more you'd have enough.

Haynes says 2.5 quarts, for the manual transaxle capacity. That's about 2.4 litres.
