Exhaust broke in half!!!

The other day, I was tryng to get around my wife's car in the driveway, i drove over a rock that sticks out on the edge of my driveway. I caught my exhaust on it and knew right away i was in trouble, sounded like a big ol' V8 without a cat(really now it is a 4 clylider with a cat). The piece of pipe from the flexpipe to the cat broke just before the flange that attached to the cat. I'm not sure if i will be able to get away with breaking the old flange off and just trying to attach another pipe/flange in it's place. OR!, do I replace the cat and the piece of pipe. I don't really think it is worth replacing the cat if i plan on getting rid of the car next summer(hopefully getting a Celica!) What would you do in this situation?

Same thing happened to me, except it was because my car is lowered 4 inches! Try to see if you can get away with just replacing the front pipe. Bosal makes one that is under $90 last I checked.

Found out i need to replace the cat, so i decided since i only plan on drinving the car til next summer, that I am running a straight piece of pipe instead of replacing the cat. Hope it works out.

I ended up just sticking a piece of pipe inthere, maybe next summer I'll get a new cat, probably probablt end up junking the car next summer, hope to get a celica!
