Exclamation YIKES! TOOOOOO MUCH OIL! :sosad:

The story.
Tercel (2e) just went in for an overhaul week b4 last and came in last week with no gas, lil bit of oil. first, put in one quart, car doing good cept for some minor starter probs. Yesterday the problems really start...

Go to esso (following mums in the jeep) to put in oil scince the light is on and the temp guage was pegging cold for a while. put in one bottle, check, still low....2 bottles, still not full. Here I'm thinking I should sit and wait for the oil to run its course and then check. But mums is eager to leave, so I decide to throw in the last bottle for good measure and hope that fulls it.

leave the gas station and the smoke ensues. I think it's just some dirt being cleaned out and burning. further along the car seems like it's got a built in smoke screen maker....Stop to get some glass cut for the side view mirror, check the oil. it's just over the full mark, and kindof dirty. think it'll be fine for a while. drive a lil further & stop again, when it's time to restart the car doesn't want to start...when I finally get it on and try to reverse out of the spot it cuts off on me twice. a little less smoke. drive home, haveto go up a hill to get there. REALLLY slow response, feels like there's no power, just a solid wall of smoke.

get home, check the owners manual, the oil was the correct oil I put in, So it wasn't burning it because it was too light...little later after I finish checking the manual for where the oil drain cap is under the car (wanted to let out a little and also put in clean oil) decided to check the dipstick once again......

THE FRIGGING OIL IS NEARLY HALFWAY UP THE STICK!
damnit 'sall my fault... Wanted to drain the oil today but it is now raining
do you think I blew the piston rings or gasket? or was I just burning up all that extra oil which was probbably whipped into a froth by the crank...plzzzzzz confirm that I was only burning oil.....

I seriously doubt it hurt the engine.

Check your spark plugs now that you've drained the oil. You might have been drowning them, and its not good to have oil on them.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
