so my valves are knocking pretty loudly this time around. i hate it. this is actually kinda good since i want to do some engine work. either replace the engine or just the head. it'd be kinda hard to sneak a head out of the junkyard...well...not really..but in any case i'd hafta get it remanufactured. here is one option, though. i was skimming one of the local toyota dealerships when i went into their back lot where they keep the oddballs/not so good looking cars. i ran across a tercel i'd never seen there. 1990, 3E. the engine has only 38,000mi on it, but there's something F-d up w/ the transmission, and the body isnt nearly in as good condition as mine. an old lady owned the car. so they gave the lady $600 on trade-in. i asked em about it and they want $600, but asked me how much i was willing to pay...i told them $200, and they said..."not quite that low"...so im gonna go in today and see exactly how low i can go

...here is my actual question. how hard would it be for me, personally to do a valve job on my car? i'm talking replacing all the valves. what else would go along w/ replacing the valves? i would imagine lifter springs, valve stem seals, etc...what would it take?
