need help replacing fuel filter

hello everyone. could someone please tell me the procedure for replacing the fuel filter on a 92 seo? does the fuel system need to be depressurized and how so? i just filled her up so n e ideas on how to not make a big mess? thnx, im mechanically uninclined without a haynes

Have the car running. Then remove the fuel relay under the hood. IT will clear most of the fuel in the lines. Just have some rags ready to soak up the rest of the gas that pours out when you disconnect the lines.

Do yourself a favor and get the Toyota repair manual. Best $60 bucks I ever spent on my car.

i did my tercel filter a few weeks back and i didt depressurize the system..sure a little leaked buts thats alright if you have floor dry on hand
