I'm buying a 92' Toyota Paseo this Friday. It has some rims and tires that were obviously swapped out from another vehicle. They're way too big and are slowing everything down and making it hard to turn.j
Where would you suggest to find some new wheels (nothing fancy, just stock)?
I was also wondering what other toyotas have a compatible wheel pattern/tire size?
If you want to wait until august, I'm saving up for some new 17" rims and tires for my 94 paseo, and i have on the stock rims and hub caps and the tires i would say have like 60-70% left, but again I won't have the money until august. just throwing that out there.
Best bet is to keep a watchful eye on ebay. Look for 4x100 bolt pattern with about or between a 38-42 offset (same as civic). Some cars to look at to swap are Miata, MRS (Same as MR2 spyder), mini cooper, nissan sentra, and some others I can not think of right now. It is all about doing research. However, you can always check the local junkyard.
tercels have the same bolt pattern...and honestly, i'd say junkyard...that's always the first place to look
I'd go with the junkyard too.... you never know what kind of rims you can find there....The other day me and some friends found some weds autobahns(super jdm stuff) and some clean centerlines... it all depends on your patience and what your lokking for....
I got mine from pep boys for $50 each. Much better than the stock caps and when shopping on a budget, they are great. See my sig for pic. Click for a flash presentation of my new paint. The rims are the ones i bought at pep boys.
