taillights dash lights combination switch

My dash lights just went out and along with them the taillights. All the fuses are good under the dash and hood. I did a search and someone mentioned a combination switch located under the dash. Where can I get this part and how much should I pay? Thans.

The combination switch is the arm on the left of your steering wheel that operates the lights, turn signal and brights. Send a private message to member thoughthard. He sells parts from various Tercels/Paseo's and recently told me he has access to a 92 Paseo which would have the switch you need.
At the dealer that switch is like $140
You can find them online around $40 used.

So, I just need the arm or is there another switch I need. There is a u-pull-it near me I can get the part from cheaper than $40 plus shipping I think...

You need the whole thing. Take off the column covers and maybe the steering wheel to access it.

If you want intermittent wipers, or want to keep them if you have that rare option, you need to source one from a Paseo.

Besides the one that Tercel GTS is interested in, I have another 92 one available...

I too mine apart this afternoon and I don't see how anything can be wrong with it... Can i just replace the actual switch w/o replacing the entire part with handles and all?

The handle is part of the switch.

I went to the junk yard saturday and got 2 for the price of $26. I figured if one didn't work I'd have a spare. One of them had intermittant wiper function. One worked for about 1 minute then didn't work again. The other didn't work at all. I find it strange that all three of these don't work. I can jump the harness (solid green wire and red/yellow stripe wire and the dash and parking lights all work great. So I guess it is either the switch or maybe the arm. The arm moves the white plastic part of the switch up and down fine though.

Turns out the original switch was not bad. I guess after I checked the fuse I should have checked the actual wire which supplies power to the switch (green with black stripe) for the taillights.
It turns out one of the connectors of the fuse box wasn't making contact with one side of the fuse.

I didn't notice that until I pulled the fuse box apart looing for a problem inside the box.

Now I have a spare combo switch and a nice intermittant wiper switch installed. Not a bad deal I guess. It turned out one of the junk yard switches was bad as it started to smoke about 30 seconds after I installed it.
