Do those Chip Modules that say they increase by 20hp, the ones that you see all over ebay any good?

no, they're not, they just give you horrible fuel economy and potentially damage your catalytic converter in the long term...you never get reliable power for cheap

thats pretty much what i thought, thank for not letting me waste my money. The thing about Cars and Electronics, you have to pay for quality, it sucks!

I got one off ebay last weekend and just installed it. My engine is stock 1.5. After the install I did notice a improvement in response time, and not the flat spot. I have not had it in long enough to get a MPG reading, but before with a bad O2 sensor, I was getting 28 miles to the gallon.

IMO, I would remove that before it causes problems.

it will kill the cat. and the chip you're thinking of is probably the dastek unichip thoughthard...but thats a universal-ish piggyback ecu if anything
