Question killswitch

i was wondering, to hook up a killswitch in my 92, i split the black/red wire from the ignition, right?

i thought it was something in the ignition so when you turn the key nothing happens . . . what would happen if you split them on the pump?

i guess you could do both...the fuel pump kill switch starves the engine of fuel so if they manage to hotwire it it moves maybe a few feet and it dies. chances are if YOU are accessing the wires easily that the theift coul easily cut out that killswitch and connect the wires in order to start it

but if you wire it in the engine block, not right by the ignition, the wires would be harder to trace, i mean, no matter what if someone wants to hotwire your car, if theyre good enough they could do it, but its still a paseo, not like a new lexus sc430 or anything fancy

Oh do you have that kind of problem? Let me help you then, but be careful you don't hurt yourself! Go ahead and find the wire going to the starter solenoid, it'll be a large black one going through the floor under the radio. Cut that booger and run the two wires to double position single throw on-on switch that can handle 30 amps. This wil have three terminals. The source wire from ignition goes to the center, the starter wire goes to one side, pick which side, it doesn't matter. The other side we'll run to a 2 terminal flasher then to one side of a ballast resistor, then from the other side of the ballast resistor to an ignition coil mounted under the drivers seat and a lead slipped into the lower cushion. Make sure the other side of the coil is grounded. Their hand on the key will serve as a ground and the flasher creates the pop-pop-pop-pop we need.
One time will break that action up!

ha thats good idea, i just gotta remember to put it to the right position when i get in. what about those scrolling led bars people have in the middle of their dash for their alarms? if you hook one of those babies up for the off, it would be a good reminder, for one thing, and it would look really badass
