Painting steering wheel

ok, not paint, obviously

I have my interior dyed in black and grey (duplicolor plasti-cote)

I recently added a LS model 4 spoke steering wheel

This wheel has the soft grip, i think the same as the paseo's 3-spoke

My question is, how do i go about coloring this thing?

Can i use the same plastcote method?
Will that 'stick' to the soft grip of the wheel?

If this doesnt work, how would I color it?

Its that nasty blue now....... , me wanty black
