Smile Save fuel on a Paseo

Hi everybody!

I’ve got a (simple?) question: which is the “ideal” speed if you want to save fuel on a Paseo (1996 European model)? I mean: 90 km/h at constant speed is good or should I drive faster (where you can)?

For the same purpose, at how may rpm should I change gears? I usually put the 5th at 60/65 km/h… maybe it’s a bit low…

I drive at least 110 kms per day, 5 days a week, so you understand that even a small difference in fuel consumption can be noticeable in the long period.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Ciao

Francesco

rather than speed, you should keep it at a lower rpm, thats how much work your engine is really doing, i try to keep mine between 2 and 3 grand. and dont ever floor it from a full stop either, that burns more gas, you get in a higher rpm faster. goes for any car really. heres something i havent tried yet, but might be worth looking into:

it uses magnets to give you a cleaner burn, its supposedly gonna give you 11.6% increase in gas mileage. for 22.99, it might be worth a try
