Gen1 Getting more power out of the 5E-FE

okay...so...I am no gear head but I do know alittle about cars. There was this site that was awesome that explained everything about a car from timing to what fuel is. I was reading on what displacement was and in a nut shell it said the more liters you have the more displacement in turn more power...so the thought occured to me why switch to a 1.3 L 4E-FTE from a 1.5 L 5E-FE? Here's what my idea is about that without having to make custom mounts for the 4A-GE or 3S-GTE is swap your stock 5E-FE for the 5E-FHE (JDM version) and bore out till you get 1.6L and use 4A-FE pisiton with high compression and then slap on a turbo I am pretty sure it should be faster then 4E-FTE but that's just an idea. Please remember I dont know that much about cars but I like to discuss things.

"The 4e is an excellent starting point that will provide a lot of parts to make upgrading easier. If you seek big power, this is a good start. The FHE is a strong engine, and has great potential, but on it's own is tricky to turbo. But if you're looking for a little extra pep, give this a try." ~BoostedSeo (http://www.paseoclub.proboards61.com...ead=1139640218)

I thought about that along time ago. The cylinder walls won't allow it. You can do 30 over and that is pushing it. You could do it if you milled out the whole block and ran sleeves, but I don't know how that would affect the strength of the outer block.

So basically you cant get all the way up to 1.6L, so how far can you go and how much power would it add?

Hey,
I do happen to have an extra 5efe sitting around, block head and all components minus the crank and valves. All already apart. Even thought most of the above was stated as a joke im willing for the sake of expanding the knowledge how to make paseos kick ass i will package all the stuff and send to anyone with the means and money to bore it out and see what actually happens. I know it was said kindof as a joke but a little expriementing never hurt anyone, so let me know if anyone wants the stuff to actually play with it. Just pay shipping and it's a good day
