i dunno if i'll part it, but i may do it in large chunks like engine, cage, ignition, etc. we'll see. i just want to get rid of a few things. BTW the cam is new.
powerband is mid-high rpm. the stage 1 was totally mid-range. of course since the 3E will rev to float (usually around 8,100krpms) this leaves lots of room for usable powerband.
no, my car revved to 8,100rpms. i was sorta going 'at it' with a 2M6 fiero gt...gawd, you should have seen the look on the guy's face!!! LOL my young and Very, VERY stupid days...and that was on a stock cam and no Weber and just a few of my goodies in the engine...
this camshaft is installed in a brand new rebuild engine on my stand. i installed it and set lash, but otherwise it has no actual mileage on it.
Please excuse my ignorance on cams, I know they open up the engine and let it rev higher, but I afraid I don't how much each stage would increase hp. Could you give me even some estimate figures of each stage (perhaps in percents)? thanks
just remember, EVERYTHING is about combinations. just cause you drop a camshaft in, doesn't mean it automatically changes everything. it means that supporting mods will/do allow one to parlay all of the 'power' that gets extracted from the powerplant. so, the way to think of it is this: 4 strokes/phases. address one part of the equation, you must adress the other three. this explains why a loud CAI makes a hell of a racket, but doesn't really do much for performance. now, in the old days of this whole thing would dictate that the tuner does intake and exhaust. only 2 parts of the equation. they used to call this stage 1. hahaha the old days...
