a friend of mine owns the car now, he's letting me having it for 500 big ones. 5 speed manual with some minor work needed. anything special that i should know guys?
its pretty well fixed up but i want to finish fixing it up and use it as a daily driver. wanna finish my other car's bodywork up and having a daily beater around will make that slightly easier. the guy im buying it from thinks a lot of it but he has a '91 tercel that he wants to get running so he needs 500 bucks.

that's awesome. exactly what i paid for mine. what kind of things have been done to it already?
definitely check out the condition of the rear suspension arms. if they haven't already been replaced, toyota had a recall on them and will replace them last I heard. That's the biggest thing I can think of. Unfortunately I didn't know that when it was time to replace mine...
yeah will do when i get a chance right now its white with a racing stripe and 7's put on each front door. its a 4 door. stright body and what was the recall over? i'll ask the guy im buying it from when i can. thanks for the info dude.

Mine is a 4-door as well. My cardomain link is below in case you're interested in looking. There are a few others on there too, so that might be a good resource for you to ask some questions:
would that recall still be in effect, last i heard, recalls only go a certian amount of time, which just might have been the time that tercels were being made. they might have recalled the recall...
passenger side tire rod (ordered that tonight) fix an exhaust leak, full tune up, and fix the fuel gauge (probably the sending unit and/or float) and it'll be 100% road ready.
