I got a 92 paseo and it has the 5efe motor i want to put something with alot more power in it i was told the 1jz motor will fit i need to no if it will and what work it will take or if u know of a better motor. thanks in advance
hey man, 1JZ engine is wayyyy to big for the Paseo, it will need a lot of modifications if you have enough $$$$$$ you can do it.
our cars are from the E engine family, the most easy swap is a 4EFTE which is an 1300cc turbo engine. or you can just turbo it the 5E
lol, why dont you look up what a 1jz is and how it sits in the engine bay of a Supra/soarer or whatever, you tell us if it fits
Hehe, that was too funny. Can you imagine... a 1JZ in a transverse, FWD application? In a Paseo?!?
But I figure if it could somehow be done, you'd already have one on the way.

well really though, theres a guy that has a 2jz in a 98 Tercel, but its a dedicated drag car, pretty sure theres a paseo body on a jz as well, and its a drag car as well, some times i wonder if people have the ability to think before they ask ridiculous questions like, "does a 1jz shipped overnight from japan fit in my econobox that barely has room in the engine bay for a hamster wheel"
Totally -- I meant to say 'on your budget', which isn't exactly a drag team's budget, I'm assuming!
Almost anything is possible with enough cash, basic skills, machine tools, and TIG. The cash part is what most of us are missing (though I'm guessing the mods and their pals have a lot more resources than us... than me definitely). There is no combination of Toyota parts that will make a JZ Six bolt into a Paseo, without massive fabrication, which the poster doesn't have. If he did, he wouldn't be posting here for how, that's for sure.
Back on topic, sorry mods...

Great, now watch Daox power a Tercel with hamsters for that comment.
I have an 81 tercel 4 door looking to swap the 4age from the 92 gts fwd. Just wondering if it bolts up or cstm mounts are needed and also what suspension parts are also interchangeable would greatly appreciate it
