USA 4E-FTE and general Turbo questions for the Paseo

I have few questions that I hope can be answered. 1st, if you have a 4E-FTE push boot style distributor (complete) cap, rotor, assembly etc and you have a clip style ignition coil and distributor cap, can you take off the push style distributor cap and replace it with the 4E-FTE clip style distributor cap so it will mate up to the clip style ignition coil and use clip style wires? If not, I may need to invest in a push boot style ep82/4E-FTE ignition coil. The 2nd question is, if your donor car is a paseo with a 5E-FE auto tranny.....if the resources available are not enough, is it possible to take a manual 4efte engine swap, take off the manual tranny and bolt up the 5E-FE auto tranny to the 4E-FTE? If so what parts would be needed to do this? I may need to buy some parts from people who have the ones that may be necessary, so this thread can bring someone some quick business too if it works out! Let me know. Thanks again!

Gen1

Nice name BTW, I know that the 4E-FTE and the 5E-FE are almost one in the same engines aside from the 5E having longer stroke, sensors, crank, ect....Being that the 4E crank is a bit differnt then that 5E, a cuplor might be in order...thats as much as I know. Try the tech part of the forums.

I'm not sure the 5E transmission will hold up to a 4E.

maybe a 5E-FHE tranny might work better but thats alot of work and money probably should stick with the a 4E-FTE tranny
