I know there aren't any crystal clear aftermarket headlights for the 93 Tercels, so comes my question:
Are the 93 Tercel headlight lens made of glass? I did a HID retro with my 98 camry and sanding down the textured lens and was wondering if it might be possible with a 93 Tercel LE.

Darn, it's true then. If it's plastic, I'd have no problem sanding it down, but glass is tough. Yah, projectors on a Tercel would truly be one of a kind.

clear like this? im going to get an HID system for mine soon, thats the whole reason i wanted these headlights, because the stock 93 composite lamps just arent good for HID
Is that how come you went to so much trouble fabing those sentra lights up? I am planning to swap in the DX lights, you don't think those will work well for HID conversion. I've been thing about HID, I am little unclear if you lose high beams or not.
Could use the glass to make a template for molding lexan....
Molding Lexan? Hmm... I'm not firmilar with that at all. But I have played with that idea before.

Are you putting projectors in there? Just a kit would cause massive glare.

DX lights are textured, right? Either way, there will be glare, unless the housing was designed to accept HID bulbs. Cars that have HID headlights without the use projectors use a variation of the bulb called D2R, which has a painted shield on the bulb itself to reduce glare.
Also oem HID kits don't have high beam function like H4 bulbs, unless you get those aftermaket (ricer) kits.

actually oem hid units do have high beam function, it is a motorized function that moves the bulb itself to project light higher, rather than in halogen bulbs where it burns a different filament.
but the cutoffs on this set of headlights look decent enough to use for hid purpose, these arent usdm lights.
they are for a nissan b14 sunny (US sentra), and most japaese cars have hid as standard equipment, particularly these, which are an oem replacement for the sunny, made by depo, who makes replacement crash parts here in the US also, these are for a 99 model
cool, sounds like you have done your research on HID well too. I know what you are referring to. I've been on HID planet from the start and any aftermarket HID kit (aka) non-German made HID kits = cheap stuff to the ppl of the forum. So I'm used to that philosophy I guess. But ya, you are right, I've seen those motorized bulb function for those kits. But I recall the big companies that make HID bulb kits, Phillips, Osram don't make such motoized bulbs.
But the oem stuff you see here that's on Lexus, Beemer and such and such use bi-xenon projectors to move the solenoid of the shield to expose the bulb for high beam. The Bosch e46 bi-xenon projector is one for example.
