fuel pump/wiring help needed

Wow, this has been a frustrating endevor. Last week my car srated choking a lot. SO I relaced the rotor and the cap on the distributor and new spark plugs. Will idle for a second or so and then dies. Okay, so maybe it's fuel deliviery related so I replace the fuel filter. Stange thing is now the fuel system won't repressurize. I am like what the heck! I use a voltage meter and probe the harness at the fuel pump, so signal. I check the connection at the diagnostic port at the signal is golden. Now I am trying to track down where there might be a wire failure relating to the fuel pump. Side notes all fuses are in good and working order and stangly there is no power to the ECU-IG fuse in any key position. In studying the wiring diagrams the fuel pump is fed from the ECU. The wire for the ECU has a Y in it going to a "circuit opening" relay which goes to the EFI relay. Since I can feel the EFi relay getting warm I am assumign it is getting power. I'll need to study that wiring digram a little closer as I might have read the pressure wrong. The feed for the fuel from the ECU to Circuit opening relay does go to a gate on the relay.
