Canada Problem with the fuel pump..

Hi I start a new thread cause peoples stop helping me when your thread is too old..
I have a 4efte in my tercel and it's very rich on gaz and i've got no power.. My problem is when i drive the car for like 2 minutes or more.. i can unplug the fuel pump relay and my car can run for a good 5 minutes on idle..

If it doesn't run for five minutes without the relay..It run for 10 seconds and stall but for the first 8 seconds it run better so i obviously have too much pressure who built up in my system.. Somebody know what can it be...what should i try.. Hope somebody had that problem before!

I don't have the Haynes manual with me, but isn't there a fuel pressure regulator, somewhere near the fuel injector rail? It might need to be replaced.

Didn't stop helping, and I didn't see this thread, but I think I found your problem and addressed it in your other thread right after you made this one.

I've had the a similar problem. My fuel pump will come on for a second when I unplug and plug it, the harness on the passanger side of the ECU. Your fuel pressure regulator is one the Passanger side of the fuel rail.

Hi.. i did a few tests tonight and we start to untaped the harness and we found that we got 80 PSI coming out of the fuel pump when the car is running. I knows thats way too much. If I put a fuel pressure regulator and set it at 40psi. Or what should it be at. Will that solve the problem? By any chance can that hight fuel pump pressure be caused by wrong wiering? If thats the wires, how can that be fixed. And we also found out that we got straight voltage.
(14 volts)Any one got any ideas?
