Instrument swap problems

I have a 94 Tercel 4MT no ABS swapped in a cluster from a 93 MT Paseo.
Wire coloring and location is the same.
Placed it in and the check engine and oil light flash when the key is in the on position.
Any idea what happened here?

yah... I feel kind of dumb about this one...

Lights are in different locations.

Anyone have the wire connection for a 93 paseo and/or a 94 tercel on the instrument cluster?

seriously... the wiring looks all the same and I can`t really find any diffences in connection excluding pin 8 on harness A.... goes no where on the tercel cluster but goes to IG- Which I am assuming is the IG- for the tachometer on the tercel cluster... so everything should be plug and play. I don:t know what I am missing...!

Well all wiring is the same essentially and connections between the two.
I plugged the instrument cluster in again after disconnection the neg bat cable.
Flashing oil and engine light problem relieved atleast.
AirBag and brake light stay strangely.
Gas gauge does`t read correctly although it didn`t before hand either.

well after so careful exmining this is the new pin out I have came up with. Need to test this configuration, but it looks like both ECUs have their inputs swapped around a little bit. I`ll update this update this post application for errors if need be.

A
1 ABS (GRN/BLK)
2 Temperature Gauge GRND (BRN)
3 Seat BElt IND (PINK)
4 IG power (+) (RED/BLU)
5 Temperature SU (YEL/GRN)
6 SRS (+) (BLK/YEL J/C#1) or (RED/GRN R/B #2 Pin#10)
7 OIL IND (+) (YEL)
8 nowhere
9 Brake IND (-)(YEL/RED)
10 illum (-) (GRN)
11 illum (+) (GRN/YEL)
12 TACH (IG-) (BLACK)
13 BRAKE/CHARGE (-) (YEL/BLU)
14 nowhere
15 nowhere
16 Left turn IND (GRN/BLK)

B
1 Right Turn IND(GRN/YEL) (+)
2 Ground (WHT/BLK) (-)
3 HEADlamp IND (+)
4 DOOR (+) (BLU/YEL)
5 DOOR (-) RED/WHT)
6 Bat IND (BLK/ORG)
7 Speed sensor (+) (YEL)
8 Fuel/Speed GND (BRN)
9 CHK ENGINE (+)
10 CHK ENGINE (-) (GRN/WHT)
11 Fuel (YEL/BLU)
12 SRS (-) (BLK/YEL J/C#1) or (RED/GRN R/B #2 Pin#10)
13 Fuel Light (-) (YEL/BLK)

Revised.... this is using comparision from 93 instrument cluster from paseo to 93 Tercel FSM... note I am trying to put this in a 94 tercel....

A
1 Cruise Control IND (no wire)
2 Temperature Gauge GRND (BRN)
3 Seat BElt IND (PINK)
4 IG power (+) (RED/BLU)
5 Temperature SU (YEL/GRN)
6 Check Engine IND (GRN/WHT)
7 Charging IND (+) (BLK/ORG)
8 nowhere (BRN)
9 Brake IND (-)(YEL/RED)
10 illum (-) (GRN)
11 illum (+) (GRN/YEL)
12 TACH (IG-) (BLACK)
13 BRAKE/OIL (-) (YEL/BLU)
14 nowhere
15 nowhere
16 Left turn IND (GRN/BLK)

B
1 Right Turn IND(GRN/YEL) (+)
2 Ground (WHT/BLK) (-)
3 HEADlamp IND (+) (WHT/BLK 93 (94 RED/WHT)
4 DOOR (+) (BLU/YEL)
5 DOOR (-) (RED/WHT)
6 OIL IND (YEL)
7 Speed sensor (+) (YEL)
8 Fuel/Speed GND (BRN)
9 SRS (RED/GRN)
10 SRS (BLK/YEL)
11 Fuel (YEL/BLU)
12 ABS (GRN/BLK)
13 Fuel Light (-) (YEL/BLK)

I put this cluster in with tthis pin assignment.... The turn indicators, headlamp and door lights worked just fine... all others didn`t.
This suggests that there are changes between the color coding ot the 93 and 94 models of the tercel. So I decided to probe all harnesses in key postions, here are my results...

A Harness (1-16)
OFF 0000000000000000
ACC 0000000000000000
ON 000LH0000H000H00

B Harness
OFF 000H0000000000
ACC 000H0000000000
ON 000H00M000000

H,M,L = degree of current flow.

What concerns me is
1. B7 which is supposed to be from the ECU (Speed sending unit is sending current in on pisition this suggest that it should be the OIL light instead.... B6
2. Getting signal for for A12, which is supposed to be distibutor input for tachometer.... It looks like it most like supposed to be A4

I ordered a 93 Paseo wiring diagram... looks like I need to buy one for the 94 Tercel too!
