Whats up my names Jt i just bought a 1993 paseo with the 4E-FTE swap, im new to the toyota family but not to imports, i also have a 2001 Turbo Tiburon that is currently running low 13's in the quarter this is my baby and my show car. The paseo is intended to be my daily driver for the most part. A friend of mine owned my paseo and ran out of cash and patience with the car so i took it off his hands. So far i love the car the looks nice and power is not to bad it really fun to drive, but like i said he ran out of patience the car was overheating after about 15 min, i found out that it was a fuel problem there is an safc hooked up and there was almost no fuel going to the car when in boost hence major overheating, cel and the rad cap went caput. i probably wont be driving the car for a month or so so i want to go over the car as much as possible, i posted another thread because im looking for guide book/shop manual on the 4E-FTE motor so i can learn as much as possible about it. Below are some pics of the seo and motor, if your interested in lookin at my other car my cardomain link is in my sig. let me know what you guys think
This is a pic of the turbo setup im running on my tib
its good to see someone posted finally, to bad it was a dick like you. the tiburon is far from a rice mobile look at the cardomain page alot of time and money all supplied by me was put into it. but hey i really dont care about your opnion, people who bash something before they actually know about it are just lame, rather than respect the uniqueness and detail you bash wire loom whoa good job, post some pics of you car id love to see
welcome. i beluive that what the guy tried to say is that he respects your tib as it looks to be well built but the kit is not our style. good pick up on the paseo and i think youll enjoy it here

hopefully but i doubt thats what he ment, but its cool im here to learn some more about the car i got not to talk shit ya know. i wish someone would reply in the other post about getting my hands on a shop manual for my motor.
forgot to mention i got the car for $800...lol not a bad deal i think
No matter where you go or what you do, there will always be someone out there who will have to put their crappy 2 cents in. I wish you could have had a better first impression of us Toyota Paseo fans and not some bone head that thought their opinion mattered. Please do not take it to heart. I am not a Hyundai fan but your Tiburon does impress me. Very good job. You will be happy with your Paseo. They are probably the most overlooked compact with some of the most potential. I am still in the process of trying to finish my brother's Paseo (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2178350) but it has not been easy. I will keep an eye out for the manual. You will have to do research for the Toyota Starlet with chassis codes of EP82 and EP91. Both came with the 4e-fte you have. You can also check Ebay. That is possibly your best bet. If you ever need anything all you have to do is ask! Take care and always GOD Bless!!
thanks its all godd about the crappt 2 cents, and i was looking at shop manuals for the starlet and they were for the ep82 on ebay i wasnt positve if the were the same because they were from like 82 to 84, i had messaged the seller on what the motor was just was waiting on a reply, thanks for your help it is appreciated,
and just like you sad the paseo is a overlooked compact, remember that cause so is the 1st and 2nd gen tiburon, so im used to no aftermarket support and peoples comments but you guys all seem cool for the most part and i appreciate the help alot
Hey, I said I liked the Paseo, its a great car (hell, its nicer than any of mine). I didnt really care for your Hyundai (or hyundais in general), although the HMT kit is killer. If it had been me I woulda spent the money from the cosmetics and got forged internals and made some more power, or just spent that money on sothing that would have improved performance. I just think the car would have been better looking if it had been left all stock, and just been a total sleeper. EVEN THOUGH MY OPINION DOSENT MATTER, ha ha ha ha
Anyways back on topic, Welcome to the board. Nice Paseo and nice tiburon. Stock for stock faster than any of our el/ep platform cars (cept maybe a starlet, which because of weight would be about on par.) Stock Tib's (4cylinder) aren't particularly fast cause of wieght but the v-6 is nice and run around 15's as is my understanding. However turbo either or and it's a different story, That's the 2nd gen right? I like the 2nd gen though I prefer the 3rd. I like the hood and the body kit is decent, but I'm not feeling the wing, just my opinion don't take it the wrong way. Both are nice cars, especially the swapped SEO
TD - I picked up the 3dr about 2 wks ago for $100cdn... Its been oil sprayed since new too so its in great shape. Thats the car thats going to be getting the turbo. Hopefully up and running atthe end of the month.
its cool astro you dont have to like my tiburon no hard feelings, but you do need to put the gold wheels on the light blue car now lol, i do like that little hatch, and as for the forged internals i plan on getting them but im just sick of putting money into it right now probably next year im to busy building my garage right now just about out of funds
Yeah, I'm going to put the gold nmesh on the 3dr this weekend... the coupe is going to be going to the scrap yard, its way worse then it looks, I am ghoing to strip it first
