New starlet owner in NYC...

I think i came on here a few months ago. I have a 1993 Gt Turbo Starlet in New York. yea i know ....its the only one in the US... now i am faced with the problem of getting parts.

1) first do the tercel paseo shocks bolt right up? if so what brand has coilovers in the states or a good lowering kit.

2.) what about a flywheel ...who makes a light weight version?

3.) clutch kit...what car cross references?

or do i have to source every thing from japan and UK?

I've been looking for a good lightweight flywheel, let me know if you locate something.
Coilovers I bought a used set of Teins.
Corolla clutches fit.
You're one of few, but not the only. Is it registered?

Ebay is a great source. Yes a few parts from the Paseo, Tercel, and even the Corolla can be used on the Starlet. You will find that you have to import most of your parts. I suggest checking Australian and Japanese sites to take advantage of the Dollar being stronger against those. The GBP and the Euro kill the Dollar. Try Taka Kaira and Perfect Run for more parts. Due a search or find the links on my page. http://paseoracer.spaces.live.com/Pe...x?_c02_owner=1

You may want to poke around on www.toyotagtturbo.com a bit before you make any mods.

I was into a 3sgte swap and really lost interest. There are 2 that I know of and there appears to be handling issues. I'll be getting a rwd corolla to put the 3sgte into instead.
I haven't upgraded my turbo on my 4e car and I'm looking for a header currently.

PS, my avitar IS the 3sgte car I was building.

Actually. Three photo confirmed 3sgte Tercels. Tavo, DragOnFly and an 80's coupe.

That's a turbo'd 3sge, not a 3sgte although pretty much the same thing. I don't count that one though as You don't see it anywhere else and all the pictures were taken at night. I feel if this was truly a running car it'd be well dicumented as Tavo's and Trevor's are. Mine isn't a running car but is far more documented.
There are 3sgte starlets that are well documented but strip cars only.

ok i'll stick with my 4e-Fte and look for a minfold. i see turbo manifods for the 4age on ebay for $99. I think the ports aren't far off.i will cut the head flnge off and pull the runneres a bit closer and line them up to a 4e-fte flange and then reweld it. Thew guys here in the caribbean use honda b series manifolds and cut them and weld the starlet flange back on.. it works with the right manifold and patience.I think the 4age looks even closer to 4e-fte that why i ant t o try it. plus it come with T25/T28 turbo flange...i like those turbos and i have access to alot of them since i know many nissan Sr20det owners and skyline owners. beside i think the T28 pulsar turbo will be a very good upgrade for the starlet.

my friend has a list of all the imported cars make and model and he didn't see any more so thats why i thought i had the only one since we imported two and one got totaled. Sorry lol thats cool that there are more ...they should be sold here !! do you guys ever have meets ?

here is a pic earlier this year before i lowered it even more and put light tints on the windows... i need real coilovers...i have skunk2 coilovers sleeves for an 89-91 VW gti that make the car ride horibble...!
