5efe

Ok i have a 96 paseo with a bad block. i was wondering if all the 5efe blocks were the same, i am thinking that they are, but wanted to know for sure. can i take a distributor 5efe block and put my non-distributor head on it. Does anyone know if this will work. To me seems possible cause of the engine code 5efe.

You can get a DIS 5efe from 95 and up Tercels as well as 96 up Paseo.
Check http://car-part.com for salvage yards in your area.

of course you can use the same head, the only thing its that you will need the correct ECU, both blocks are the same also the pistons, etc.

I can imagine the block would be the same or similar.... but the heads? The 95+ being DIS wouldn't have a whole for DIS. How would you go DIS<->distributor conversion?
